미지의 우주로부터 펼쳐지는 아름다움의 여정 <Tom sachs> 개인전

혁신 그리고 또 혁신, 새로운 시각과 공학의 미학으로 전진적인 형태의 작품을 선보이는 미국 출신의 예술가 ‘톰 삭스(@tomsachs)’가 현대카드와 함께 한국에 착륙한다. 현대카드 컬처 프로젝트의 일환으로 개최되는 이번 개인전은 우주 공학의 신비로움으로부터 풍기는 아름다운 여정과 미지의 상상이 함께한다.

특히 이번 전시는 유려한 곡선과 비정형적인 건축형태로 유명한 자하 하디드의 대표적인 국내 건축물 ‘동대문 디지털 플라자(@ddp_seoul)’에서 열릴 예정으로 톰 삭스가 주목하는 범우주적 미학과 상통하는 전시가 될 것으로 예상된다. 한편 지난 2022년 톰삭스는 국내 주요 갤러리 3곳에서 펼쳐진 전시를 통해 한국 관람객들과 함께한 바 있다.

Innovation and more innovation. With a new perspective and the aesthetics of engineering, American artist Tom Sachs (@tomsachs) is landing in Korea. This solo exhibition, held as part of the Hyundai Card Culture Project, promises a beautiful journey filled with the mysteries of space engineering and the boundless imagination of the unknown.

The exhibition will be held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (@ddp_seoul), a representative architectural masterpiece by Zaha Hadid, known for its graceful curves and unconventional forms. It is expected to align perfectly with the cosmic aesthetics that Tom Sachs is known for.

In 2022, Tom Sachs held exhibitions at three major galleries in Korea, engaging with local audiences. This return to Korea is anticipated to bring forth the realization of the infinite universe and boundless imagination that we envisioned as children, still lingering in our hearts with beauty.
